This Privacy Policy describes how Hafiz Journey ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "Game").

We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially regarding our younger users. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information Collection and Use

We design our Game to collect as little personal data as possible. We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the Game.

A. Data Stored Locally

Most of your data, including your game progress, memorization status, and settings, is stored locally on your device using sqflite and shared_preferences. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

B. Microphone Usage

The Game requests access to your device's Microphone.

• Purpose: This permission is used solely for the "Quran Recitation" and "Voice Practice" features, allowing you to practice reciting Surahs and receive feedback.
• Data Handling: Voice data is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition engine (e.g., Google Speech Services on Android or Siri on iOS). We do not record, store, or transmit your voice recordings to our own servers.

C. Third-Party Services and Data Collection

We use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device. These services are used to support the Game's functionality (like ads and content).

• https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543?hl=en: We use AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect information such as your Device ID, advertising ID, and usage data to serve ads.
  • Note for Parents: We configure our ad settings to be appropriate for general audiences and families.
• https://quran.com/privacy: We fetch Quranic text and audio data from Quran.com. Your IP address may be visible to their servers when fetching this data, consistent with standard internet protocols.

2. Children’s Privacy

Hafiz Journey is designed for families and children.

• We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (PII) from children under the age of 13.
• If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
• Ad Protection: We strive to ensure that ads displayed in the Game are suitable for children (Family-friendly ads). We do not use "Personalized Advertising" (interest-based ads) for users known to be children.

3. Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
